No wonder baking can soothe my soul and silence a moment of anxiousness, I 've been doing it since the age of 4.  That very first cake made with my Granny Bing brought smiles and a sense of accomplishment that made me believe that I could do anything!  Or perhaps it was my Grandma Laura's plump, floured hands showing me the right consistency of her beloved tea cakes.  Whichever event it may have been, I am grateful for them both.
